We’re thrilled to share our involvement in the 52 New Street project in Cambridge! This significant residential development by Just A Start, in collaboration with Callahan Construction Managers and RODE Architects, is set to bring 106 much-needed affordable rental homes to the Fresh Pond area.
At United Workers Group, we are proud to have contributed to this project by expertly installing cutting-edge materials that ensure both performance and sustainability. Our work included:
•SmartCI Thermally Broken Green Girt System with Vertical Hat Channels: Our skilled team meticulously installed this advanced system, which provides superior thermal performance and a robust framework for the exterior. This ensures optimal energy efficiency and long-term structural integrity.
•Rockwool Insulation: We expertly integrated Rockwool insulation, known for its exceptional thermal and acoustic properties. This material significantly enhances energy efficiency, maintains a comfortable indoor climate, and contributes to the project’s adherence to Passive House energy standards.
•Cembrit Fiber Cement Panels: Our precise installation of Cembrit fiber cement panels delivers a durable, low-maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing facade. These panels offer excellent weather resistance and contribute to the building’s modern and sophisticated appearance.
This project not only provides vital affordable housing but also exemplifies a commitment to environmental responsibility and innovative design. We are honored to be part of a team that is building a more sustainable and inclusive community in Cambridge.
